Missed miscarriage

All, I had a missed miscarriage. Went in for 10 week appt and no heart beat then confirmed by ultrasound. Baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. I have had no cramping or spotting. What are the chances this comes out on its own in the next 10 days so I don't need to do the misteropol or the DC option.

Were you taking progesterone supplements? Once I stopped those, I started bleeding. I had a D and C scheduled for five days later (wanted to do testing on th tissue) but I had passed all fetal tissue by then. So I know that it is possible for it to be less than a week, but I have also heard of people having it take weeks.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage detected at 8 weeks but didn't pass until 10.5 weeks. I opted not to take drugs and the doctor was fine with that given that baby stopped growing at 6 weeks 6 days.

I had a diagnosed one about 10 days after it stopped growing. I was doing IVF, went in for week 6 monitoring and saw heartbeat. Bc of my schedule and my doctor's schedule the week 7 monitor turned into beginning of week 8. There was no heartbeat and the fetus had stopped growing at 6 and 3. I had a D&C 2 days later; it was emotionally tough but I wanted to move fwd. I dont think I could have handled waiting.

I waited for about two weeks and nothing happened so went and had the D&C. Mine stopped at almost 9 weeks and I was also scared of the pain of miscarrying on my own. I’m a wimp. If you’re at SG they really are amazing. I’ve had two D&Cs with them and ime they were so compassionate and gentle (no scarring or complications).

You don't need to do anything for it to pass. I think it can take up to two weeks. Mine took less than 10 days. I also did not want to take medication and opted for a D&C. Before my D&C date arrived, it passed. It was very painful for me. I think it's because of my history with endometriosis. I am sorry for your loss.

I’m so sorry. This happened to me too. Ask your doctor about the chances. I took the misoprotol right away, and it didn’t even fully work. I had to get a d&c too. I’m sorry again, just focus on getting your self healthy and strong again.

My first miscarriage: i found out at 12 weeks that the embryo stopped growing at 7... so that was 5 weeks of nohting.
Also, after 1 misoprostol and 2 D&C miscarriages, i 100% recommend D&C
