Do those daily shower sprays really work?

Do they really help with soap scum?

Recommend one!

a squeegee. A squeegee is much better than a spray.

also if you really have soap scum from real soap, use castile soap and a scrubby while you're in the shower (while everything is hot and wet), then rinse. IDK why it works to use soap on soap scum but it does.

failing that, a magic eraser.

We use glycerin soap (the clear ones). It helps a lot with not getting soap scum.

Yes, I use the tilex one.

I use Tilex daily shower and I think it helps somewhat. Problem is that I'm the first to shower in the morning and DH won't use it after he showers a little later.

I agree a squeegee is probably better.

I can't get my husband or kids to put their towels in the hamper. There is no way they would ever use a squeegee. I agree it is a good idea.

We squeegee and then spray. I use the Method spray.

Even if only you do it, it will help a lot. Some portion of their residue will be dissolved in water during your shower and it will squeegee off.

Is there an ideal squeegee for this job?

I never thought of it that way. That's a good idea, thanks!

I mix up 10% bleach, about a 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap and the rest water in a sprayer. Dish soap is just to make it stick to the wall better. I spray the shower walls and curtain after I get out. I never scrub the tile. All I do is spray it and let it dry. Cost me pennies a spray bottle but the sprayers don't last long. Try to re-use shower cleaner spray bottles.

NP. My friend mixes a solution of bleach and water and sprays her entire bathroom twice daily. I haven't asked her how it works on shower residue but I guess I know now.

I spray diluted bleach.

CLR works great on soap scum, because soap scum is partly mineral residue from your water, which makes everything stickier.

Doesn't this cause problems with fabrics? I would get bleach spots on everything if I did this.

I use bleach spray on mildew or that pink goo but I have to be careful about clothes, the towels, floor mat, etc so wondering how a daily spray works.
