Returning to MCPS, but new to Middle School

| If all goes well, I will be moving my family back to Montgomery County next summer. We are looking for houses that will put us in Lakelands Middle School. DS is 11 with ADHD-inattentive. He has a 504 Plan. Does anyone know if there are any programs at Lakelands or in MCPS system that help kids like mine transition from elementary school or help newcomers make friends in middle school? He's not the best at making friends and is not the least bit athletic. I'm trying to think of ways to make a stressful time, slightly less stressful. |
