Underwear for tall, skinny 13 yo.

Title says it all. DS is skinny and has a 24 inch waist. Boxers & boxer briefs that are sized properly for his waist are really short, which is bothering him. (I think he feels weird in the locker room, not that they're riding up or anything.) What brands do you buy for your skinny boys? DS is a swimmer, so something that fits like competitive jammers would be fine for him! Thanks for any ideas....

I would stick with boxer briefs and try H&M’s house brand. I think they tend slimmer. I know American Eagle makes a longer length boxer brief, but I’m not sure about the waist sizing. It might be worth checking out. Otherwise, I’d go to a nice department store like Nordstrom and ask what they suggest.

Thank you! I'll check out H&M -- they're sizing chart isn't pulling up online. The American Eagle longer boxer briefs are exactly what he wants, he just needs to expand by about two inches! I got some from Uniqlo today. They're not very long, so he may hate them. But they're something....

Don’t buy sporty underwear unless it’s cotton. The synthetic fibers trap bacteria, and even washing won’t get them clean.

This! It’s pretty gross. Stick with cotton underwear.

Hanna anderson fit is very slim, although the style might not be popular for teenagers.

If it isn't too late...regular boxers from American Eagle are longer than most and are in style now. That might work for the OP's son.

They are Hanes! They have an elastic waist and the boxer is cotton.
