Petite jeans from Anthropologie

Yep, I tried Joe"s Jeans and another brand -- can't recall the name, but the style was called Anjolie. Both way too low-rise for my taste.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. On the other hand, have you tried JCrew petite cords -- very nice fit and style. They're described as bootcut, but they're not too wide. You might give them a try.
