Anyone do just progesterone suppositories for a non-medicated FET?

Anonymous
I did a non-mediated FET (no meds other than the trigger shot to ensure ovulation, then progesterone suppositories). I had a miscarriage of a PGS normal embryo, so 'm re-examining everything I did to see if maybe I should ask about doing things differently.
Is anyone currently doing a natural cycle FET w/ just suppositories, or are REs prescribing PIO injections even for a non-medicated FET?

Also, saw this - resent results suggest PIO only necessary every third day even w/ a medicated cycle (in combination w/ suppositories):

I did an unmedicated FET (except I also did the trigger shot) and progesterone suppositories that is now sleeping in the other room. My SGF doctor wanted me to do a PIO at least every third day but I pushed to try it without the PIO.

What I learned is that although doing PIO gives you a slightly better chance of getting pregnant, it actually doesn’t give you a much better chance of having a baby. I think it causes some nonviable embryos to stick around longer. Ask about the odds in your case.

You might want to do the test to check your window for implantation. I think it was called the Yale test. A natural FEt with just suppositories was the only thing that worked for me.

This is OP- I think my RE doesn’t think I need the for checking the implanatation window because it worked and I was able to get pregnant on the first transfer. But I didn’t stay pregnant. Maybe this time if I do the suppositories but ask for bloodwork to check progesterone levels?

To OP: why did you do a natural FET? Why not just go with a medicated cycle? I'd highly recommend doing another FET but this time fully medicated. I'm with SG and am taking progesterone suppositories twice a day and the PIO injections every third day. My PGS normal embryo appears to be doing well based on my repeated positive HPT's, but won't know for sure until my betas next week. Good luck to you!

This is OP. Did a non-medicated cycle due to wanted to keep meds to a minimum. Had a prior DVT and hormones (injections) can increase risk of another DVT. I did lovenox injections when I got pregnant last time; it’s an open question of whether I will do another unmedicated round or do medicated this time and add the lovenox earlier.

Lovenox hurts so much I really want to avoid PIO shots.
