Seeking an wonderful nursery school program in Montgomery County... can you recommend?

Anonymous
I'm looking for a mornings-only nursery school program (2-4 mornings/week) where my sensitive, thoughtful, curious toddler would thrive. I'm a SAHM, so not looking for daycare, simply opportunities for socialization and new experiences. I am thinking of starting him next fall. I'd love a program that emphasizes connection to nature; is Reggio inspired, Waldorf, or Montessori; with thoughtful, highly qualified teachers. Preferably in Bethesda, Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Garrett Park or Kensington. Thanks for your recommendations.

Acorn Hill Waldorf or Takoma Park Cooperative Preschool are both great choices.

Spring Valley Montessori Academy is a good match for what you are looking for

Acorn would be good. As would Spring Bilingual or Rock Creek Montessori, but I'm not sure if they have part-time programs. They do have morning-only options, but I think they might require 5 days per week.

Crestview Montessori in Bethesda offers mornings only, but 5 days a week for consistency. Takes children at 2.5. Small class size may be ideal for what you are looking for.

I think you would find a good community of stay-at-home parents at Acorn Hill
