| every clinic i call tells me they are only vaccinating pregnant women and infants right now. no adults (even those caring for infants). any idea how i can get myself vaccinated in the northern virginia area? i'm a mother/caretaker for an under 6 month infant. i thought we were supposed to be a priority group as well, but the local clinics seem to think otherwise. |

If you are the parent of an infant (6 months or younger), you can go to a Fairfax County clinic.

Check your peds office and your OB/GYN to see if they ordered vaccines - if you're an existing patient with a doctor who ordered vax, they'll set up an appt for you to get it.
Otherwise, you're stuck waiting in the county health dept lines. |
| My son and I went to one of the DC sites today - Eliot Hine Middle School. They are vaccinating all the CDC designated categories. Both my son, who is 7, and I (high risk) got the shot. They are holding another clinic on Thursday. They seem to have less restrictions than the NOVA clinics. |
Agreed. Actual Dr.'s offices do not have "priority" lists...all patients can get the vaccine. DH, DD, and I all have appointments to get it next week. DD is under 2, but DH and I are not in the "priority" group. |
| OP here. Neither my doctor, my husband's doctor, nor my daughter's pediatrician has the vaccine. What Dr's offices have the vaccine? |
| 14:02 PP here. Ours is a family practitioner in NOVA. |
My pediatrician reserved the vaccines they got for high risk kids. I think they are supposed to give to priority patients first. |
| NP - I have called my PCP, DH's PCP, my OB, and my DD's ped. Nobody has the vaccine. And nobody knows if/when they are going to get it. |
They should at least know if they registered to receive some. Then, it's just a matter of waiting for the shipment. My pedi has an IVR phone message (for flu vaccine information, press 4), and I called daily until the message was updated saying they had a small amount. |
| OP, if you really want the vax, drive into the district and park in the neighborhood near one of the schools. they will give it to you!!! everyone in DC is surprisingly nice about this. |
