What do you think of the trans gendered woman who won the cycling championship?

I'm on the fence with this one. On the one hand, she was born a male and had the advantage of decades of testosterone, but on the other hand, should we really be separating men from women in sports?

We'll see this trend becoming more and more popular. Womens's sports dominated by former males.

Not a fair competition. Women are really losing out these days for the sake of being pc.

Had she transitioned hormonally?

In sport, I do think it provides a significant advantage for someone who is still physiologically a male to be competing with people who are physiologically female. We know its am advantage, that is why we have seperate men's and women's sports vs co-ed.

If she has fully transitioned, then while I think there is some advantage, it isn't as much of an advantage.

No one born as a male should be allowed to compete at an advantage against biological females...

This should be common sense

Trans people who try to win athletic competitions against biological females are just doing a disservice to the cause of public acceptance of the trans movement

In general, I support the rights of trans people, but I think this is just wrong. If that means that trans people can't compete at such levels in sports, than be it.

I respect your wish to be identified as whatever gender you choose, use the bathroom of your choice, and live however you please provided others aren't affected (this goes for all people, not just trans people). But this is biologically unfair to women in sports.

This and I'm a liberal. Not sure how this became a PC thing?

Just start a third category for trans individuals. Those competitors are likely more similar to each other than to the biologically born genders.

Perhaps there will need to be a new trans category for competition.

+1. She should be allowed to compete and win.

Apparently she has never taken testosterone blockers and is still physically male. She hasn't taken female hormones.

In this case, it is unfair. She identifies as a woman but has all the advantages in competitive sport of being male.

Why is being male considered an advantage??

Let's have an olympic competition to see who can nurture a child better? Or have a conversation?

Young liberal feminist have decided it’s ok to be trampled on by men as long as they feel "woke".

Why should she be allowed any advantage?
