another Prometrium question -- PMS vs. side effects

Hi -- started prometrium 200 mg vaginally 2 days post-ovulation. Have had mild-moderate cramps since day 6 post-ov. Now at day 11. I keep thinking my period will start but it has not yet. Is period-like cramping a side effect of vaginal prometrium? It's so frustrating!

Yes, it can be but it also can be implantation. I am on the big "P" three times a day and I get cramps after I insert the pills. My doc says that it can make your cervix sensitive. I also had spotting with the "p" too.

Yes, the side effects of Prometrium are similar to pms and also (I have heard) to early pregnancy. Very frustrating! Most people do not start their period while they are taking Prometrium. Good luck.

I have been taking prometrium twice a day vaginally for 5 days now and have had some cramping, am bloated and constant headache. It is frustrating because you can not "read" your body very well on it - everything can be because of the prometrium, nothing to do with possibly being pregnant.
