MIC cup Spain

My son was selected to play this April. This is his first time for the MIC.

Has anyone been and can they provide general info.? How are the fields? I appears they are all over Girona and trying to figure out lodging. Does the team play at the same fields usually or do they move around? We were told they have 4 guaranteed tournament matches and 2 friendlies with Spanish teams a few days prior to the competition.

Are tickets required to watch matches? I would love to watch the real Academy teams--Man City, Barca, Real, etc. play.

Any general info about your experience is greatly appreciated.

You should check with your club if the team will be staying together at a particular hotel. I know someone from the West Coast who went to MIC and their team stayed at the same hotel and had a bus assigned take them to the games, which were at different locations.

Regardless, the answer is still the same. Ask the question of the team he is traveling with.

Considering the likely costs involved, you should indeed speak to the organizing club about the finances and logistics of the trip before even considering sending your son.

If you go on youtube, you can see a lot of the MIC competitions - even some full games. That may help answer your question about the fields.
