| Anyone watching? It's very entertaining and I love all the historic tidbits plus seeing Paris. |
| It is really well done but exquisitely boring. |
| I liked Ep 1, found Ep 2 boring. Will give it another try |
| I’m just starting Ep1 - the previews made it sound interesting like a international crime syndicate type family. Hope we’re getting some of that. |
You’re not. It’s on the same level as Dawson’s creek. |
+1 nothing like that, and each episode is a show, they don’t overlap. |
| It's getting terrible reviews, but I've enjoyed both episodes available so far. Also, big laugh at Weiner casting the bald guy for episode two. |
Why? |
because he's bald himself. I watched both episodes last evening. I honestly can't decide what I think. I found them really engaging at the time and yet I'm left with the feeling that I wasted my time. I think I much prefer shows that build from week to week with the same cast. |
| They definitely have the feel of short stories and don't build to much. Novels often feel really condensed in movie format, so 90 minutes probably is the right amount of time to tell a short story. |
| SPOILERS I have watched 2 episodes and its enjoyable but not nearly on par with his other work. Because each is a stand alone, its hard to get invested or that interested in any of the characters. I thought the first one was good but then went off the rails with the pregnancy bit-totally unrealistic that this devout muslim girl is going to sleep with some guy she doesnt even know one dinner. |
|
These are like extended episodes of "Love American Style"
1. Love and the Muslim Housekeeper 2. Love and Jury Duty/Love on Board I feel like putting my fingers in front of my face like I did when I was a kid and screeching "Oh no are they doing it?" |
*sigh* I really tried and failed to finish Ep1 twice. You're right - super boring. WTF did they think we'd want to watching a boring dramedy of the most boring descendants? This is pitiful. |
Agree. I fell asleep. |
| Loved both Episodes! |
