My husband is 40 and we ave had a child natuarally 4 years ago. Now we have been trying for another child. Up until 6 months again we had beautiful embryos all AA category but ad three MCs. since last 6 months all of my eggs when inseminated with his sperm have arrested. They are saying it a sperm issue and to see Dr. shin immediately. Has any one encountered a similar situation. If so what was the solution
If any. Has anyone worked with Dr. Paul Shin? Reviews? Pleases help. |

Sorry for your losses.
We have severe MF (low everything, but normal DNA fragmentation). I liked Dr. Shin alot, as did my DH, but even with our #s he said sperm wasn't an issue as long as you do ICSI. He was right. We had an issue with embryos arrested before blast, but it was the protocol - higher doses of stims, that seemed to be the problem. 40 for a man isn't usually an issue. A woman's age matters much more (annoyingly). |
| When do they arrest? |
| We have been seeing Dr. Shin for a couple of years and he is awesome. We started out with another urologist at GWU so we have had experience with others. Dr. Shin is a straight talker and doesn't beat around the bush when delivering news. He also takes time to explain everything and will answer all questions. He has performed several surgeries on my husband and we recently transferred our one normal embryo after three rounds of IVF (which I truly believe is due to the involvement of Dr. Shin). |
| dr. Shin is awesome |
| Sorry but Dr. Shin pushed my DH into a varicoceole surgery that made his count, motility worse. IVF with ICSI wasn't even discussed but that's what we needed and the surgery was a waste of time and money. |
