What to serve for son's first bday party. The party will have mostly adults but some kids ranging in age from 1 to 5. Thanks.
Can you give more information? For example, what time of day is it? If it is going to be around noon I would have mini sandwiches and something more filling, but if it were at 3pm maybe lighter type foods.
I had a brunch for my son's 1st. It was at 11am and I served two types of fritatas, bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon, sliced kielbasa and breakfast sausages, fruit, coffee, mimosas. Both the adults and kids seems pretty happy with the offerings.
OP here--It will be around noon so I wanted to serve something filling. Any place in particular where you have been happy with the quality of the sandwiches.
We used Corner Bakery for my daughter's first birthday. We only had family over and I still thought it was pretty pricey, spent close to $100. I also made a bunch of apps. I think if I were to do it again I would do California Tortilla, yummy!
Hi! You may think we are lame - but, for our daughter's 1st bday we are calling it for 12pm-2pm (best for her naptime) and on the invites put Pizza, Cake & Ice Cream to manage expectations. Just want to keep it easy and inexpensive ... The numbers grow exponentially, especially if you are from the area. We are getting the salad from Maggianos and pizza from Armands.
OP here--not lame at all. I love pizza parties! |
I've done sandwiches and wraps from Pietanza and they were really good. They also have good salads, but I didn't have them for the party (too messy).
