Could this be a reaction to H1N1 shot, or cold, or flu?

| My 9 month old got his H1N1 shot on Saturday morning. Starting yesterday he's had a runny nose and been very irritable. Not much fever: at most 99.5. His appetite is okay. His napping and sleeping are off (less not more). I'm wondering if this is a reaction to the shot, or just a cold, or (heaven forbid) the start of a flu episode. Did anyone else's kid or infant have any reaction to the H1N1 shot? TIA. (I've held off on a call or visit to the ped. for now -- so far this seems pretty minor.) |

| The shot is a killed virus. If he has a cold or flu, it's not from the flu shot. My kids have both had runny noses and low fevers this week - I imagine that many cold are going around along with the flu. |

| Sounds like a cold. A fever is a common reaction, but it wouldn't cause a runny nose. |
