Green Baby Stores in and around DC?

Anonymous
Are there any stores where I can buy both organic cotton baby clothes and green toys and other baby goods?

OP: Thanks for posting this question! I, too, am interested in the response.

I think Proper Topper (locations in Georgetown and Dupont) has some organic cotton clothes.

Also, Yiro, at about 33rd & P in Georgetown. Is kind of expensive.

Yiro's owner also started a toy store on Wisconsin near her clothing store. Also very expensive. H&M occasionally has organic clothing (I got organic cotton undershirts there for my dd this fall). Whole Foods has a small selection of stuff too.

Check out "Wiggle Room" in Bethesda. They sell new organic baby clothing and toys as well as high quality used gear - which may not be "organic" but is green because you are re-using it.
Hanna Andersson will also be coming to Montgomery Mall this spring. They offer organic clothing for kids and adults.
Finally, the organic supermarkets - Whole Foods and Roots come to mind - increasingly are offering organic baby toys and clothing too.
Good luck!

Our store (www.cattiwampus.com) carries organic t-shirts, organic swaddling blankets, eco-friendly diaper bags, toys, etc. I am thinking of starting to carry bamboo baby clothes (made from bamboo fibers). These are supposedly great for environment, comfy , etc. Check out KickyPants.com and let me know (info@cattiwmapus.com) if anything strikes your fancy! I have not placed an order yet, and can meet specific requests if desired.

That is, cattiwampus.com and info@cattiwampus.com. Not sure why it came out so garbled!
