Hello, does anyone have a child enrolled at Bambini Dc - the Spanish immersion daycare downtown? We’d like our child to learn Spanish so are starting to explore options in DC. Any information on the center would be helpful. |
We went with a nanny share, but live in the neighborhood of the original location. Not sure if you're asking about the original or the Ronald Reagan Building, but at least the original was the holy grail of daycares in the neighborhood. Everyone on the wait list, no one getting in. Everyone loving it who did get in. If we had gotten in, we probably would've gone there. I had DD on the wait list before she was born.... I think the new location eased some of this, but I bet it's now swamped too. GL! |
I am a current parent at the original location (Mt. Vernon) of a toddler. It is AMAZING. We have been there since our DS was 8 months old. The teachers care for and love our son so much. The food program is amazing and all organic. My DS eats quinoa, chicken and mushrooms for lunch (at daycare-- doesnt touch half the stuff at home!). He is bilingual in both Spanish and English with receptive language and has about 50 words (40 in Spanish and 10 in English). The curriculum is great and they really learn the in the classes. The have an app to track his progress and photos. There is very little teacher turnover and the director is amazing. She treats the staff well and it shows. All the kids are happy during drop off and pick up. Get on the waitlist ASAP!

I knew someone would ask about this daycare soon. I’m a parent at the Regan location. I’m very particular and wouldn’t put my kid just anywhere. So I’m glad I found and was able to get in to this daycare. Food program is awesome, teachers are caring, and the place is very clean and secure. There was sticker shock at first, but then I realized that it’s the price of peace of mind. I would recommend this daycare, specially the Regan location as I don’t have any experience with the M Vernon location. But I’m sure it’s equally as good.
Good luck! |
There's a new location opening next spring at 20th and M, that may be easier to get into |
Where did you hear this? Just curious because I'm on the original location's wait list. I work nearby and heard there's a daycare going in at 20th and L, but didn't know it was a Bambini. |
Announced here: http://www.bambinicdc.com |
Thanks! With the other location add, they announced it to all waitlist families, so just curious why I hadn't heard this yet. |
I just wish there were an elementary school with staff treating kids with the respect, patience, dedication as Bambini DC team does.

I work across the street and just saw this for the first time the other day. Looks like a good location for commuters in the area. |
Open houses start this week:
