Feds- insurance question

Hello. I am a federal employee. I was wondering what people’s experience is with the best insurance for infertility issues. I’m going to start an infertility work up soon with my current provider (kaiser), but I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations on switching insurance during open enrollment? Is there a plan that is best for fertility treatment?

straight to the point...no federal plan covers IVF. Kaiser federal plan cover 50% of IUI. for infertility dx & treatment most likely would be the same across most federal health plans. most folks like the Care first plans. u can check current 2018 plan on the OPM website for a better feel of coverage.

Do a search on this forum, there are lots of posts. Aettna is also one to consider if you think you will do IVF at Shady Grove, as they have a deal where you only have to pay their negotiated price.
