Metropolitan DC Local Politics
| I don’t know who to vote for. I don’t like either Floreen or Elrich and don’t get be started on Ficker. Floreen is in bed with developers and going to make the school issue even worse. Elrich is going to raise taxes on everyone. I don’t know what to do. And then I get thinking that a lot of folks are in my shoes and the vote is going to end up split. What are folks thinking at this point? |

Floreen stinks. So no.
So - Elrich wants to make sure that adequate public facilities and infrastructure is added before huge new dense developments are built and Floreen and the rest of the council all voted no? How could anyone vote for Nancy Floreen or any of the other development bought politicians? And the Washington Post is now owned by a man who is similarly buying up everything to enrich himself only so now I understand their endorsement of Floreen. Don’t be dumb with your tax dollars and communities - vote Elrich. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/Elrich/Resources/Files/pdf/SSPNoVoteExplained.pdf |
| Yeah, the vote is going to end up split |

Yeah Elrich wants to make developers pay more so he WONT have to raise taxes. Makes sense.
I trust the incoming council to have a more moderate voice on approving housing plans so we should be in pretty balanced shape with Elrich balanced out with Glass, Friedson et al |

I agree--
council + Elrich = moderate growth Council + Floreen = out of control growth Floreen refused to come to neighborhood meetings in areas affected by new development. She never a development she didn't like. She supported the ICC and them claimed to be shocked by the tolls, now she is supporting new lexus lanes for 270. |
