Hey! my embryo transfer should be this week. i have read i should eat pineapple. can anyone w/ bfp after IVF testify to this? what else should i eat or do?

| yea, I have heard that pineapple helps . . . something about the chemical in it. I ate it before, during and after the 2ww . . . got a BFP and a lovely course of acid pimples to go with it. |
| Acupuncturist told me to eat this after transfer too. Didn't work with 2 IVF's. But, if you like pineapple, why not try? |
| Definitely eat pineapple, including the core. I got a BFP after my IVF. |
|
I ate it after my IUI, and it worked!
Can't hurt.... |

Pineapple contains bromelain, which is an anti-inflammatory enzyme that is rumored to aid implantation.
I've heard you should eat fresh pineapple to get the benefit of bromelain. (not sure if canning or otherwise preserving destroys the enzyme) On the other hand, I found this about pineapple juice: http://www.babysnark.com/ttc-supplements/ttc-supplements.asp So, not sure what to believe . . . . |
| I ate pineapple after my transfer and now I'm 7weeks! When I asked my nurse about it, she said she had never heard of it but it wouldn't hurt. So, who knows if it helped, but at least I felt I was doing whatever I could....and it worked! |
|
LMAO! If only pineapple worked I'd be pregnant 10 times over by now.
Okay, maybe 3 times. |
....rude....
|
Why is that rude?

Lol. 9:45 here. I'm sorry I misread and thought she was making fun of the question.
I'm not with it today- a little high from vicodin. (er was yesterday.) hehehe

Well then you're forgiven.
Hope the ER went well! |
| It is not the pineapple, but the core. It contains brom (something) which helps with blood flow, thus, implantation. Has to be fresh. |
| oh ya pineapple is all it takes to make it happen!!!! |
| I wish I knew that before I paid so much money for IVF |
