pendant withmy son's initial on it?

My DH is going to get me a monogrammed pendant for my birthday. I want to get it with my son's initial on it, but will that be weird? Will people wonder why its not my initial? Not an earth-shattering issue, I know, but just wondering. I would plan to add another if/when I have another child.

who cares if it's untraditional? it's going to be one of those things people will ask about and then respond to your story with "aww, that's sweet."

I have two pendants with each of my sons' initials on them and I have gotten many, many compliments on it. My husband got them from etsy.com.
