Helping FIL and Step MIL but not opening the door for more $ requests

Anonymous
My FIL is very ill, and he is being released today from the hospital after a long stay. My step-MIL will have to care for him but also has to work. She will have to hire an aide for him, but this is a financial hardship. I want to be able to help them with something, monthly. Something around 100.00 a month, and something that is like grocery delivery or something like that. I'd like to find something that makes her life a little easier, something that she has to pay for anyway but that isnt a medical bill (because I feel like that will be seen as charity), and is something that we can arrange from a distance. I want to be careful in that we don't create an expectation of more significant financial help, as she has hinted for this in the past. We have 3 kids in daycare, and 100.00 a month is what we have to share at this point. What offer can we make, and what service/help can we provide from a distance?

Thanks for the ideas.

Are there any bureaucratic tasks DH (ideally) or you could do? Research any and all options to have an aide coming in get covered, for instance?
