One book that really struck me and stayed with me was “The winds of war” by Herman Wouk . I think it was written in the 70s or something.

The Winds of War and War and Remembrance are outstanding. The audiobooks are especially good. The cheesy but still interesting 1980s miniseries did not come close to doing them justice.

I am the poster you quoted. I did not realize they had a miniseries. All I know is I read both books and they stayed with me for a long time.

Yes, I agreed with your recommendation. I didn’t say that you were referencing the miniseries.

Or rather I didn’t mean to suggest that. They are excellent books.

Right now, I am halfway through “The Japanese Method Of Decluttering.....” or something like that.

I am an organized neatnik & thought I knew it all.

But apparently I do not.

I am about a third of the way through it and think it is creepy. Does it get less creepy?

I loved it, because of the internal dilemma it caused! I hope you finished. I understand why some people hate it, but it’s such a unique book.
