Thor Infinity War?

Why was it so easy for thor to defeat thanos? It seems every other hero was just falling apart in front of him but thor could kill him in a couple of seconds.

Well, technically he didn't... "You should've gone for the head." But I get what you mean. I think it was a combination of things.

Thanos was caught off guard. He had just gotten the last infinity stone, so he was a bit distracted. Thor also came down out of the sky and slammed into him. Third, and most important, he had the new hammer/axe. According to the dwarf who forged the weapon, it was the only weapon that could defeat Thanos.

Put the three together and you get a severe wound to the chest that still didn't kill him before he could snap his fingers.
