Colorado College post-grad

How does a school with the wealthiest median family income (via NY Times) have such dismal post-grad results in terms of salary? It's on my son's list & I want to be supportive because I'm a SLAC grad. However, when I looked at the College Scorecard, grads earn very little afterwards. Is this something to do with the culture?

Don't know about CC in particular, but those survey results depend highly on what majors the average student take and whether the average student is in grad school when surveyed.

Perhaps because they don't really need to live on what they earn? Trust funds, subsidized grad school or post undergrad travel.

Do most just go on to grad school and the minority start in low level jobs? Also, how are English majors suppose to take it in during the 5 years post-grad? Serious question.

That number is 10 years out for kids who receive financial aid. So presumably it's not relevant for the kids with high family income who are full pay.

Rich parents = trust funds = easy jobs that do not pay well

So make sure your son married one of the trust fund kids
