Still original parts. I should go ahead and change them right? 184k mostly highway miles.

Yes. Replace.

Yeah replace. But them online for cheap and take to your local mechanic.

Yes, absolutely. The degradation is so gradual most people don't notice but they tend to go bad between 50-100k.

No...OP, stick to the genuine Honda part. Cheap shocks are often worse than worn OEM ones.

A shop will charge about $600-$1,000 for that, plus parts.

Do them yourself.

if the OP is here asking if they should replace at 184K, then chances are they aren't competent enough to make the repair themselves.

and in some cases, if you dont have an impact wrench, you may not be able to get the shocks off.

I tried to do my wifes 10 year old saturn rear shocks, and just did not not enough space with non air powered tools to get a cheater bar on the nuts.

this is one of the jobs is done poorly or unsafely, you could kill yourself (car falling on you while working) or killing someone else, when your repair fails while you are driving.

eh... I just assume everyone has impact tools and basic knowledge. In hindsight, I see that that's probably giving most people too much credit.
