2nd dose of vaccine

Anonymous
I was mulling over going to one of the clinics, but realize that two doses are needed for our almost four year old son. When two doses are needed for the vaccine, what are parents' plans to do if you are going to a clinic for the first dose? Will you find a clinic again for the second dose?
Thanks...

I have an appointment for my son next week to get his first dose of the H1N1 vaccine. He is 3. I will then work on getting the second dose. I am hoping that by the time he needs the second does it will be easier to get and am thankful for the appointment that we got.

There are supposed to be LOADS of clinics by mid-November.

I was wondering about this as well. Does it matter if the second dose is the same manufacturer or anything like that? I know that there are several different manufacturers and variations of the seasonal flu, but don't know if it matters whether the first and second dose need to match there either.

No, doesn't matter.

If I understood the nurse I saw last week right, you can even mix the mist and shot -- e.g., have the mist and then have your second dose be the shot, or vice versa.

Actually, I've read that it's best to get the same brand of vaccine for the second dose.
