Well... we're about to go down the IUI path. Meaning Day 1 of my next cycle I'll call to get the process started. Because apparently I'm a planner, I'm wondering about the logistics of it all. For my 1st day 3 test, they told me they only do them early in the morning. Does anyone know if there are any similar time constraints on the actual insemination day?
(We are secondary infertility, so I'm worrying about child care in the wee hours of the morning, etc, etc...) |
With the IUI you make two appointments, one for the man to provide the sperm and one for the insemination. So the insemination can't be that early. I think my last insemination was at 10 or 11.
I did an IUI with Shady Grove in June. It was just a morning off work — no crack of dawn stuff. I think we had 9 am drop off and 11 and IUI. If you can plan to arrive at work around lunchtime you should have plenty of time for normal childcare drop off and if it’s too close for comfort hsvevyiur partner UBER over earlier with his deposit. Pretty easy morning!
OP: Thanks! That's super helpful and removes one area of stress.
Same here. The scheduler actually gave me choices of times that were available! All mid-morning to mid day.
I did one in the early pm. Like 1:15. So I went to work, took an hour at lunch and then went back to work.
