Anybody have any insight into either school? DC just started talking about both, but I think the appeal is more in Colorado than the schools. I really don't know much about them in terms of academics and reputation, thought I'd reach out to DCUM and get the unvarnished truth.
Thanks. |
| Boulder, Boulder, Boulder. #GoBuffs!!! |
Well, that was incredibly helpful. |
| Love colorado college! It is getting very selective. |
| Can't really compare the two. One is roughly 34,000 students and the other 12,000. Completely different experiences. |
| My son went to Boulder for grad school and I didn’t get him back. He loved it and is staying. |

Boulder.
Sweet weed, hot chicks. |
| Boulder gives very little aid/merit. Beautiful, not close to skiing as you think though. Very expensive to live off campus. |
| Are they into the outdoors? Boulder is like Charlotesville with real mountains. It's an amazing place. You have access to a real city, but you can be on a bike or hiking trail within minutes. The downtown is just like Charlottesville's (bricked over, without cars), but bigger. |
| My DD and her dad are going to see all three schools next week. I’ll post impressions here when they get back. I can say she’s already a little turned off by the fact that you must apply ED to Colorado College to be accepted. They fill about 85% of their spaces that way |
Colorado College wasn't one of the OP questions. Thank you though, for offering some insight. |
That's a response about the town, not the university. |
Of course you can. You can compare admissions statistics, what people in the west think of the schools/reputations, that sort of thing. If you don't know, don't bother to post anything. |
Yeah, because stoned chicks are hot.
