MS magnet selection question

I posted my question in the other thread on middle school magnet selection, but it seemed to have drowned in the sea of heated arguments on fairness/unfairness of the 'peer group' criteria.

So. Does anyone happen to know what MAP scores are used for final selection: spring( 4th grade), fall (5th grade) or winter (5th grade)? If nominations for testing happen in November, the only current MAPs would be those from testing in the fall; by the time of final selection, winter MAPs will be in. Makes me wonder which scores bear the most weight.

My understanding is the spring (4th grade) and fall (5th grade) were used.
