Soccer Cleats

Two questions:

What is a good soccer cleat for a boy with wide feet. He had nike tiempos that fit him well, so we got what I thought were basically the same shoe one size up, but for some reason, these are too tight. Not sure if he had grown into them and stretched them out slowly or what the difference is.

Where is a good place to buy soccer cleats? We've tried online, but have had to return a couple because of the width issue, so I'd like to go to a physical store. Any places that have more of a selection than Dick's?

Thanks!

Springfield Soccer or Sterling Soccer. Owned by same people , so just depends on which is closer for you.

FYI we got cleats for our massively wide-footed kid at a soccer store in Rockville, but fwiw they recommended leather cleats because they stretch more than the vinyl ones. Cost more but they lasted through the spring and now into the fall without the misery that the previous pairs caused.

My Dd has wide feet and we had to go with leather also. Definitely cost more!

Thanks for all the replies so far! For those with children with wide feet and recommended leather. Do the leather ones ever hurt a little and feel too tight at first and then become good? If so, how long does it take?

There's a reason the Adidas Copa is a classic. Will mold to your foot quickly and fit like a glove, all at a reasonable price.

DS has wide feet and New Balance always fits him the best. I’ve had luck with their wide football cleats and basketball shoes. I know they also make soccer cleats. My son could never wear shoes that run wide, he needs actual wides. We order online.

Something with leather, not synthetic material. It’s more flexible. My son has wide feet, so I know all about that.
