Gap program sponsored by the college

Anonymous
OK, this is a new one. My daughter found a college that has it's own "gap" program. The students spend time at four different sites: an Outward Bound type thing, Latin America, a city, and New Mexico. They earn credits and then rejoin their classmates on campus in January.

Thoughts?

Share the college, please! Princeton has a gap program, too. I believe that full funding is provided (except for airfare).

One difference, though, is that Princeton's program lasts an entire year. It does not give academic credit. I think that it's fantastic for colleges that can afford it to give students this opportunity.

I had never heard of this school or program before, but it sounds pretty cool.

That looks like it offers college credit so its not exactly a gap year. Looks cool.

Yes, that is the whole point for her!

Sounds like a cool program, but not a good school.

Looks cool! Sadly I don't think Tufts is realistic for her, and part of the appeal of the St. Norbert's program is that you graduate in 4 years. Looks like you have to pay for an extra year with the Tufts program, which would be problematic for us.
