Machar??? Progressive, affordable shul?

Does anyone know anything about Machar?

I saw that they have a Sunday hebrew school starting this week that focuses on Jewish culture with a detailed curriculum. But it looks like they rent the space?

I was hoping someone here could tell me more. The every other week part of the school would be a better fit for our family but I want to make sure you still feel like a part of a community.

Yes- we are members. They don’t have a permanent building but Sunday school is held at one location and holiday services are held at a second location. It’s low key, very welcoming, and aligns well with our values and interest in Jewish culture and social justice. You should come to Sunday school/adult ed to check it out (this is welcomed for potential members). This first Sunday is an overview of the year.

Is it free to check it out first on the first day?

Thanks.
