Fiction preferred.
Recent favorites: Eleanor and Park Little Fires Everywhere Man Called Ove No violence, rape, torture, etc etc. Thrillers are fine as long as there isn’t anything too graphic or horrible (Gone Girl was fine). |

Doesn’t BWWY have child abuse and trauma? |
Thanks, but oh no I didn’t like beautiful ruins at all, or crazy rich Asians!

| Secrets of a Charmed life |
| I just listened to Our Kind Of Cruelty. A thriller, but not too dark. Great British male narrator. |
It does to a degree but it is never explicit, only implied. I am sensitive and thought it was handled well. |
| Something in the water |
I read this book and I HATED it. I could go on and on about how much I hated it. The worst! |
| Just listened to Trevor Noah reading his book “Born A Crime” . Absolutely compelling! |
| I just started When Breath Becomes Air and it is good so far. |

Tana French's books have a great narrator. Irish murder mysteries...I don't think they are too graphic but another opinion might be warranted.
Where'd you go Bernadette was really funny and again, great narrator. Ofelia oliphant was good too (and yes, I am too lazy to spell it correctly). Something bad happened to her so maybe that's too much too... |
