Today was the first day of their weekly vaccination clinic. They are having it every Thursday as long as their supplies last. They are expecting to receive shipments of the vaccination each week, so the clinic should be around for a while. One word of advice, CALL AHEAD AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!!![u] I called earlier this week, and was told to be there at 10 o'clock. I arrived at 9:50 to find a line wrapping around the building, but because my name was on an appointment list, I skipped the entire line. I was out by 10:30, while I'm sure others were there for several hours.
Also, I asked if my husband was eligible for the vaccination or if he needed to wait until the baby was born to qualify in a priority group. Three different people asked all told me to send him in to receive the vaccination now rather than wait. No, they don't, and when I asked, they actually told me that the thimerosal free shot hasn't been released yet and that anybody who says it has been released is giving false information.
I don't know who to believe... I went ahead and got it anyway. |

To the person who got the vaccine @ the Cheverly Clinic,
Did you have to show proof of residency? My kids' private school in PG County just sent out a notice to parents about this clinic. It says that you have to show proof of residency and a copy of your kid's immunization record. I find that hard to believe since no other vaccine clinic is asking for that and it's a huge barrier to access to service. thanks! |
