| I know I heard no tylenol after the vaccine. Does anyone know where I can find reliable info on for how long? Thanks. |

Since that recommendation was based on one study, there are not expert guidelines on this yet, at least that I have found. The point I got from the study, was to wait a few hours after the vaccine to see if the child develops a fever, rather than avoid a fever all together by preventing it before the shot.
I'm assuming you want to give tylenol because the child has a fever, correct? If it were me I might wait a few hours or at least until night and if it affects her sleep, give it to her then. The fact that she has a fever means the vaccine has stimulated an immune response, which means that it's doing its job and tylenol at this point is likely not going to severely affect anything. But, someone else might have a referenced recommendation. |

| OP here. Thanks. DD actually has a toothache, no fever. She hasn't complained of it for most of the day, so I'll continue to avoid the tylenol. |
Wouldn't your doctor be able to answer this for you? |
