Anyone done IVF injections at work?

Because it looks like this is going to happen for me tomorrow night. You know DC jobs, Friday night work is not exactly unusual (FML). It's my first set of shots so I'm not thrilled to be mixing powdered meds in a damn federal building!

No, but I did it while traveling plenty. It's not a huge deal, although I get it that your first time you'd rather be in the privacy of your own home.

Just pack the stuff in a cooler and close the door or lock yourself in a bathroom and get it done.

Yes, worked overnight during residency, did it in the bathroom, no biggie.

Use a handicapped stall. No big deal, done it many times.

Check if there is a wellness room or pumping room that you could use if you don't have a private office. I have done injections in the family restrooms at airports, though, so any place works!

Yep. I have an office, though. I also had to do a PIO shot at a work party - bathroom - not ideal, but with lots of alcohol pads, it was fine. For meds that need refrigeration, I brought one of those ice pack bags and put them in the fridge. You can't see in the bags, so it looked like my lunch and it was fine.

I did mine in my car in the office garage because I didn't think I could do it in the office without someone popping in or in the office bathroom without fumbling around. Ask the pharmacy for one of those mini, portable needle disposal canisters that can fit in a purse or jacket pocket.
