We are the Kid Brain Study Group at the University of Maryland! We are now seeking healthy individuals who are 3-5 years of age to participate in study on napping and the brain. This study involves assessing children’s naps using an “activity-watch”, parent reports, measures of brain activity (or PSG) during a nap and an MRI brain scan.
Participation involves 2 visits to your home during your child’s regular nap time and 1 visit to the University of Maryland College, Park Campus. Participation will take place over the course of roughly 16 days, including the two 3-hour in home visits and one 2.5-hour in lab visit. Children will be compensated $20 for each visit, for a total of $60 (There is an additional $20 for transportation expenses). They will also receive a small prize at each visit and receive a picture of their brain to take home! Weekday and weekend appointments available. If you are interested, please contact The NeuroCognitive Development Lab (NCDL) at the University of Maryland with any questions or to schedule an appointment at KidBrainStudy@umd.edu or by phone at (301) 405-5922 Thanks! |
