| Just wondering if you have to be a resident of DC to get the vaccine and if they will have the perservative free ones available? If anyone knows the DC hotline number to call, please post it! Thanks! |
|
You don't have to be a resident.
You do have to be in a priority group. They don't have the preservative free version. http://doh.dc.gov/doh/cwp/view,a,1370,q,604320.asp |
| Thank you, PP. |
| How do you know that you don't need to be a resident. Does it say somewhere? Thanks for any info! |
| when I called the DC DOH the woman on the phone told me you don't have to be a resident (surrounding counties are ok) and that they should have the perservative free ones! I plan to call again tomorrow to see if I get a different answer from a different person! |
| Got the shot last night. They never asked for id but you do have to fill out your address on the form. |
| They did have the single dose shots (which I think only have trace amounts of perservative in them) for kids under 2. Older kids got the ones with the full dose of mercury. |
|
THe shots for the kids over 3 came from a multi dose vial. Just FYI.

I just want to confirm that since I am montgomery county resident, can I have shots for my kids in DC?
|
| Yes, no problem if you are not a DC resident. |
| I'm wondering how packed these clinics will be this weekend. |
| will they vaccinate parents or only youth and pregnant women? anyone know? |
| Only youth and pregnant women. They approached and turned away all others (proactively) at the clinic last night. No parents received unless pregnant. |
| I can vouch for that. I'm a severely asthmatic, non-pregnant adult and I was turned away at the Cardozo h1n1 clinic last week. |
