No, this isn't schadenfreude. This is the special satisfaction from seeing the troubles of others AFTER they were warned repeatedly for months on end. There should be a special word for that.

That's a Constitutional amendment. That's IN the Constitution. There is no way for him to "stay in office for 1 more year" because if there is no election, his term ends and he is no longer President. Then the chain of succession takes place. Second is Vice President but since there is no election, Pence is no longer VP. Third in line is Speaker of the House. This will most likely be Nancy Pelosi. Therefore, no election means we have President Pelosi.

People keep saying that we'd have President Pelosi, but if there's no election at all this year then isn't her term as Speaker over too? I don't really know what it means for the status of the House if there's no election, honestly. But I it'd be President Grassley...since his term isn't up until 2022.
