Why did Loudoun allow FCV to join? They’ve literally shot themselves in the foot. Every FCV team has come up as winner of their bracket. Including beating Loudoun in the head to head games. From an optics and business perspective it’s demolishing.

A bunch of 04 and 05 players at FCV came from Loudoun’s best players when the two clubs had a fake partnership. The fact that those Loudoun teams can play competitively against FCV after their best players were skimmed off reflects well on their club. Loudoun is playing a long game with stronger younger teams and the much better platform in ECNL.

According to this board, FCV 07 has been ducking Loudoun for a long time. Loudoun had FCV’s 06s and 07s in their own tournament and decided to put them in lower flights because, apparently, Loudoun doesn’t actually want to play them that bad and Loudoun - true to their nature - is going to play bs political games, like putting Beach FC’s CCL team in the top flight with them, and FCV’s 06s in the 2nd flight where they clearly were too strong for it (12 GF - 0 GA). Way to run a first class tournament Loudoun!
