Who has moved to Frederick from MoCo?

On a good day, that’s a rough commute. Landsdale and Urbana don’t have it as bad, since they are close to 270. Linganore is another story. Tons of new houses going in there and no infrastructure to support it. To get out of Lake Linganore, you have to take a bunch of winding country roads. These roads aren’t equipped to handle the influx of traffic. Even worse, these roads are not safe.

Um, I live in Linganore and it's literally 10 minutes to Urbana and never have I been backed up or experienced traffic on Mussetter/Ijamsville road which is the winding road you're talking about to get there. How are they not safe? Know what you're talking about before you comment.

Um, nice tone. I live in Linganore too, so I think I know what I am talking about. Your “10 minute” number isn’t right. Maybe if you’re speeding and there is no traffic. Have you done Linganore to/from 270 pre-COVID, when buses are out and everybody is going to work? It is much more than 10 minutes. Mussetter isn’t the only road that’s over capacity. Boyers Mill isn’t safe either. Too many cars and too many speeders- probably those trying to get to Urbsna/270 in 10 minutes. Finally, it took me 10 minutes today to get from Eaglehead Drive to Deer Crossing. More roadwork to accommodate even more houses being built adjacent to Deer Crossing.

NP here. I know people who chose Urbana over the other neighborhoods (Monrovia, Linganore, etc..) because of its close proximity to 270; and even that is already a sacrifice. If you're commuting towards Bethesda/DC/VA, Urbana is really the best option while Linganore and Landsdale would be a commuter's death sentence.

It's not a "death sentence," but it's not fun to get from Linganore to 270. Tolerable during COVID, but tough during normal times and only going to get worse as it gets more crowded. The ten minute estimate from Linganore to 270 is either from brand new residents and/or is realtor speak. I once had a realtor try to tell me it took only 45 minutes to get from Shepherdstown, WV to College Park....anything to sell a house.

DP. I don't think the PP said it's 10 minutes from Langanore to 270. The PP said Linganore is "literally 10 minutes to Urbana"
