Emily Roebling did a lot more than contribute. She took over responsibility for the entire project when her husband was incapacitated. At the time, the Brooklyn bridge was considered the most complex project under construction.

Same for my daughter's high school! Don't forget Jeopardy champ Julia Collins.

Brooke Astor didn't actually graduate though - her mother didn't want her to go to college and Lucy apparently insisted that the girls apply to college.
