Awful! Child abuse.

How about Coltrane? Frederick or Douglass? Martin? Daveed for Daveed Diggs or David

OP here, I'm wondering if Zora and Langston seem a bit, "matchy matchy"?

Arthur.
I know it's not clear who it's referring to but I've always been a fan of Arthur Ashe.

Unfortunately, I think they are. I love both names though.

I keep following this thread, start to respond, then don't. But I keep wondering about Nora and Moses. Both biblical and AA connotations. Not sure if it works in modern day, but I love them both.

I also like Nora and Noah. I don't see any AA reference, just biblical. But I love how they go together.

Maybe Noah Hughes. Noah Langston. Noah Gaines. Noah Ernest. I met Ernest Gaines many years ago and he was a lovely and extremely smart man.

Oh, what about Gaines as a first name?? Though I don't see a good nickname for that.

Yes, but only for the educated. Literary people will think you’re in love with that era even though Langston and Zora were not in agreement.

We accidentally gave both our kids literary character names/nickname but few have picked up on it.

How closely are you really following if you think OP's daughter is named Nora?

I love Zora and Langston and do not think they are at all matchy. Love them!
