I've heard SYC is holding ID tryout sessions open to any player interested in joining the MLS youth team. Does anyone have information on this? My son would like to try out. I don't see anything on the MLS page.

LOL, SYC has been accepted into the league being run by the MLS. That does not make them an "MLS youth team."

Contact the u13 & u14 age group coaches for SYC if you want to try out.

Our club will not do tournaments, just "local" games. I assume this would be the same...

Alexandria and SYC I can understand, Achilles?? I heard they had a mass exodus this year. The posts on DCUM are pretty candid about what parents think about the coach and the "money grab" and focus on a few teams. They have a talented U14 team and maybe one other. Coach has MLS connections, played briefly, so that could be how the club is surviving/got selected for this DP. Who knows?
