10-yr old, gifted kid who reads at 10th grade level also keeps reading Big Nate

My nine year old is reading at a 26 year old level and spells at a 34 year old level. Today I caught him reading Crime and Punishment. How do I guide him towards books that are not so easy and are more at his level?
