Are you that dumb? Why didn’t you ask if Baltimore was in Nova as well? |
It was always a difficult transition during those two U16 and U17 years - trying to combine two full teams and keep everyone happy and developing. For Armour it wasn't a "true" U16 DA team, ten of the 16s made the U16/U17 roster last year, DCUnited had fifteen 16s on its U16/U17 roster. I didn't think Arlington had a DA program after U15. I had heard prior to DA ending that it was going to end the U13 program (like it did U12 this year) and make a U16 group to address the issue. |
Point is idiot that no NOVA club made it to MLS Academy even after all the parents fist pump their chest Only MD clubs received offers and don't talk to me about Arlington if they had a offer they would have accepted the same way any other girls clubs would have accepted ECNL if given the chance |
Got it. You were being sarcastic but the way you wrote your comment, no one knew you were sarcastic or dumb. |
No that's not the case. Nationwide all ex-DA clubs were offered a spot in MLS. In VA Arlington, VDA and Richmond (obviously Richmond isn't NOVA) all received offers from both MLS and ECNL. All decided, rightly or wrongly, to move to ECNL. In Arlington's case at least it appears that most (although I know it is not all) parents would have preferred MLS and quite possibly the coaching staff as well - but the decision was made by the board. Obviously Arlington took a lot longer to make the decision than Richmond or VDA so they thought harder about the MLS option. |
Yep - Arlington kept the U16s in the DA program (and the DA only EDP league) in the expectation of getting U17 this year. Which they did of course, about two months before the league vanished in a puff of smoke .
|
WRONG you IDIOT DC United will play and train out of Northern VA .So there is your NOVA Club asshat. |
Kind of.... but not really. |
Well he's mainly wrong because both VDA and Arlington received offers from the MLS league. |
How do you know this. |
DC united reaching out to ASA players |
Not surprising for top ends of those rosters. |
I know this from multiple sources. One being the call Arlington held for all DA parents where they explained exactly what their options were and why they had reached the decision they did. It was very clear from that call that - they (and Richmond/VDA) were all invited to be part of the MLS league - the MLS league couldn't, and still can't really, define in detail what it is actually going to look like, and nor was it clear what level of commitment the MLS clubs might maintain toward the non-MLS teams going forwards - Arlington may well move back to the MLS league in the future (although not this year) if everything works out well |

Loudoun's decision was a result of being told that they would not be getting the older age groups in DA. I was not privy to the reasons behind that decision - but suspect it had more to do with DC United's new location and plans (at the time, now seemingly abandoned) to move the DC United Academy to Loudoun than it did with any specific failure of Loudoun's program itself. |
