I'm so glad I don't live in DC proper, because apparently there is an army of black people chomping at the bit to call everything and everyone a racist every chance they get. Jesus. |
Fixed it for you. |
Even better. Whoever they are, please stay in DC |
| Can anyone explain why the biggest, dirtiest, most cluttered tent was allowed to remain on K St, continuing to force pedestrians into the roadway? I've been searching local media reports and Twitter and ANC comments and can't find anything about this. |
|
No one in the mayor's office uses that street? |
Better yet, why don’t you open your doors to the local homeless? Allow them to live with you and your family. |
Why don’t you offer up your street? |
If the rationale of clearing K but not L and M was because K was too narrow for both tents and pedestrians, then it's really asinine to allow even a single tent to remain. You still can't maneuver a wheelchair or stroller through the space, so might as well allow all tents to remain. |
| At least three people back to camping in the K St underpass. If I'd been a former resident of this encampment, I'd be so pissed I complied with the directive to leave. If relocation were optional, I'm sure more people would have chosen to stay. |
Such a racist measure. What kind of city do we live in? |
It's a dog whistle. |
+100 DC is filled with thousands of HHI progressives with opulent homes, most of which have at least one (or more) unused room that could easily provide housing to a person experiencing homelessness. And yet, this doesn't happen. Despite these same people constantly crowing about the homeless having no where to go. The solution is right there in their spare rooms. But they can't figure it out. It's like they don't understand what being a progressive means. |
How so? Please explain? |
Who knows. Urine is yellow. Asians are yellow. Ipso facto cogito ergo sum. Some people see racism everywhere they look. |
