About to buy second home on Eastern shore

The hunting in Talbott County is some of the best on the east coast.

I tell my boyfriend that I need a dually pickup truck, a labrador retriever and a little boat for the eastern shore.

Easton is a very pretty town with nice restaurants and historic homes. It sounds like you’ve only been on the Rockville Pike of Easton, which is not what people are talking about when they talk about Easton. Easton is a wealthy town in a wealthy county (Talbot), with beautiful homes and nice restaurants. You should read up and maybe visit sometime when you’re on your way to Ocean City.

OP here. We are not in Easton itself but on the water towards st Michaels. That said, Easton does have a very attractive downtown that you won’t see from the highway, as a pp said. If has some pretty good restaurants, plus a cinema and all the stores you need.

We aren’t worried about appreciation, this was a lifestyle decision. That said, it has probably appreciated 50 percent since we bought it.

lol. I’m always impressed with the ignorance on this board. Why would you live in Easton? It’s just a “fly over” area. The other day Upperville was a bunch of red necks in the middle of nowhere on another thread.

Are people really this unaware of where DC’s money have second homes?

+1

Thank you.

Easton is gorgeous and has some very expensive real estate. It’s got more to do than St Michaels.

What would you suggest that’s within 2hrs of DC?

Waterfront in Annapolis!
