What is your favorite resort you’ve ever been to, anywhere?

Too bad it got flattened by a hurricane a year or so ago, and still hasn't recovered.

Ditto.

Stayed in the same cottage as Brangelina and Madonna...before they did. It was magical.

I wouldn’t count on it being rebuilt. The Park Service won’t make it easy.

I'm the poster who stayed there. We sailed past a year or so ago, and it's literally gone (nothing to rebuild). The locals who took us sailing said there's no way it will be rebuilt. The resort was at the very end of a 100 year lease, and the hotel Corp simply didn't want to invest...particularly given the hassle of dealing with the parks.

So sad. It was a special place. I guess it will live in my memory.

Did you stay there the whole time or also visit other parts of the island? I'm adding this to my list. Used to live in Mauritius but haven't been back since 1994. Bsck then majority of the resorts were in the north and also tamarind bay side.

We were on our honeymoon, so stayed at the resort the whole time. I'm jealous that you used to live there!

US Southern Coastal: Sea Island (Cloister and Beach Club) followed by Montage Palmetto Bluff

US Northern Coastal: Ocean House

US Eastern Mountains: Old Edwards Inn or Whiteface Lodge

Loved Little Dix. Is it fully recovered from the hurricane now?
